The shippers told me that there might be some damage if shipped FedEx, well they weren't lying. The table did have nicks and chips in it, but since they did tell me before they shipped it, I guess I have to live with it. There was not going to be anyone home for curb side delivery, so I had them FedEx it. The table is just Ok, but it works.

So i bought this table and chairs before the negative reviews were written, so i was a bit nervous for its delivery and the assembly and quality. First things first the shipping took almost three weeks which is disappointing to me but thats on the company and doesnt affect my review of the product. The table I will say is absolutely gorgeous and comes nearly assembled out of the box. Just four legs which took literally 5 minutes to put together. The quality is exceptional and is nowhere near the cheap "ikea" wood some other reviews expressed. The color and shine are exceptional as well. The chairs is where I can see ppl having a headache. Theyre not easy to put together and what I mean is the first step to assemble them. The bolts they give are very labor intensive because the hole they provide is not big enough to fit a ratchet in to make the job a hundred times faster, and they take forever to screw in on all 4 chairs. Once step 1 is completed is pretty easy since its just philips screws and a drill makes it quite easy. After that we had 2 of the chairs not fit flush completely together, and too much pressure to make them flush could crack the wood. However, after all screws were tightened the chairs are very stable with no wobble whatsoever, not even the 2 that werent completely flush. The chairs quality are also exceptional in my book with beautiful color and finish and I am very picky when it comes to cheap particle board and flimsy chairs. Overall a strong 4.5 and I would highly recommend this set to anyone I know, and am not sure what happened with the experience the 2 negative reviews had, but for me everything turned out to my satisfaction and I have a had a couple compliments already. Sidenote: I noticed the price has gone up $70 since I paid $309 plus $120 shipping from visiondecor for brand new. Anyone looking to purchase might want to contact the company and ask for that price. I had extensively looked for dining tables at most popular stores before I made this purchase. I bought it primarily because I thought it would make good value for $500 including shipping compared to some other options out there. I was confident about the quality given positive reviews from other buyers. However, soon as it arrived, we found the quality disappointing. During assembly, I noticed multiple blemishes on the chairs which we decided to ignore but now after using for a few weeks, the table has started wobbling. I am now selling this off....any takers?

I ordered this item after reading the select good reviews on Amazon. However, I was shocked to see the poor quality of wood when the table arrived. They have used low IKEA quality pressed wood. While the wood is IKEA quality, the construction is very very poor...the pieces do not even latch together fully.
Please note that you would not be able to return this item to the seller. In my case, the table arrived damaged at the edge. Amazon A-Z gaurantee did not work for this item because the shipper gets Fedex insurance on the item. I spent months fighting with the seller, Fedex and Amazon but they have denied my claim passing blame on each other.
Stay away from the product and the seller.

This dining room set looks very elegant and is of high quality for this price point. The chairs look from the picture like they might be a bit flimsy, but I'm happy to report that that's not the case. I think you'll be pleased.
